Fee Schedule

Learn Music from Professional Instructors at McCown Conservatory

SEMESTER BASED PROGRAMS

There is a one-time registration fee of $25 for new students.

Our programs are based on semester long commitments of 18 weeks, billed monthly starting August 1st through December 1st and again from January 1st through May 1st. Not every month has the same number of lessons, but you will have 18 lessons each semester. Please see our calendar for more details. For ease of accounting purposes for us and you, the monthly payment will be the same regardless of the number of lessons in that month.

You can stop lessons at any time during the semester via written notice through email; no further charges will be assessed. However, there will be no refunds issued for the current month. If you must reschedule a lesson, we require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice (exceptions made for emergencies). Make-up lessons will be scheduled for Mondays and may not be with your regular teacher. Missed make-up lessons will not be refunded.

INSTRUMENT REQUIREMENTS/RENTALS

To reap the most benefit from your lessons at McCown Conservatory, it is important that you commit to a regular practice schedule and that you have the correct equipment. While it is certainly not necessary to have the most expensive or the best brand name, you do want your instrument to be functional and of decent quality.

We highly recommend that piano students have regular access to a full-sized keyboard (88 keys) with touch sensitive keys (or a properly maintained acoustic piano). Although we do not have keyboards available to rent at this time, we will be happy to direct you to sources and brand names that you can purchase at reasonable prices.

Each instrument has its own specifications, and our instructors will be happy to assist you in obtaining the best instrument for the best price for your student. Here at McCown Conservatory, we do have stringed instruments and guitars for rent and can make recommendations for the rental of other instruments at local providers.
